    Artistic Czech Legion patriotic postcard from the 1917 Battle of Zborov where the Czech Legion fought valiantly for the Russians against the Central Powers -- note the Czech Lion devouring the Austrian double-headed Eagle. Not long after this the Russian Empire fell and the new Communists tried to subjugate the Czechs, forcing the Czechs on an odyssey across Siberia, ending in Vladivostok. Slightly worn, in very good condition. A scarce card from an almost-forgotten (in the West) battle for a doomed monarchy.
