    Description

    E. Burnham's Lysine Ointment was formulated to heal and to significantly reduce symptoms caused by cold sores (cold sores are caused by the virus called herpes simplex labialis). Herpes Simplex is a virus that invades other cells in order to replicate new virus cells. Arginine is a type of amino acid that is stored in cells. Unfortunately, it is also the amino acid that is stored in cells used to replicate. Lysine Ointment can stop this replication. Lysine Ointment has been used to eliminate the tingling, burning, itching, tenderness and blistering of lips. No adverse effects.
Research has shown that lysine is also stored by cells and can force some of the arginine out, but lysine cannot be used by virus cells for replication. Cold sores are the result of cells that been destroyed by the herpes simplex virus, and the stinging or burning a person experiences is due to the arginine fueling the virus cells.
Arginine Acids are important for the body and are considered to be the foundation for proteins. Lysine is a type of amino acid that is beneficial to the body, but it is not naturally created in the body. It must be consumed to be beneficial. In the case of cold sores, research has shown that lysine is an effective treatment against the herpes simplex virus (cold sores).
If used at the early onset of herpes it may reduce the healing time and length of the herpes outbreak by over 50%. Reports show that the average cold sore lasts between 14 and 21 days. Some users have even reported healing in 48 hours. Our Lysine Ointment is completely invisible and can be worn under lipstick
    Suggested Use:
Apply lysine ointment to affected areas as needed. When applying lysine ointment to open sores, avoid spreading to surrounding areas. Wash hands thoroughly after using.
