    Hungary is a landlocked country in Central Europe. Its capital, Budapest, is bisected by the Danube River. The population was 1.756 million (2016). The stadium was used mainly for football matches. The stadium, which was an all seater, had a capacity of 38,652 though its original capacity exceeded 100,000. The stadium closed in 2016 and was demolished to give place to the Puskas Arena.
